Set the parameters for Anywhere for rental. These parameters define, for example, how the Anywhere for rental app handles rental shop deliveries and returns, mass returns, and item counting.

Sub-task: Define asset status settings. 7. You can define with which status objects can be picked or can be delivered from a rental shop. For example, if you do not define the “In inspection” status here, an error message is shown if you scan an object with the “In inspection” status. Click New. Note: If you do not set up any allowed asset status for a combination of Rental application business process and Order type, all asset statuses are allowed. If you set up allowed asset statuses for a combination of Rental application business process and Order type, you must at least add a record for the 'Assigned' status. This is required because a business object is assigned the moment it is placed on a line. 8. In the Rental application business process field, select an option. 9. In the Order type field, select an option. 10. In the Allowed asset status field, enter or select a value. Select Yes in the Scan batch field. 8. In the Picked quantity check field, select an option. 9. Select No in the Reserve picking list when selected field. 10. Select Yes in the Use GTIN unit field. 11. You can allow to enter a note when the picking list is finished. The note is added to the sales order as an attachment. Select Yes in the Enter note field. Note: To activate notes, also fill in the Note type field. 12. Select the note type to be added as a sales order attachment. In the Note type field, enter or select a value. Note: To activate notes, also select Yes in the Enter note field. 13. Select Yes in the Prefill picked quantity field. 14. Select Yes in the Get batch number from GS1-128 barcode field. 15. Select Yes in the Get serial number from GS1-128 barcode field. 16. In the Maximum number of items in search field, enter a number. 17. Select Yes in the Change serial number on picking field. 18. Define the printer type to print packing slips in the 'Picking' process. In the Packing slip printer type field, enter or select a value. Note: A packing slip is only printed: - If a default printer is set up for the defined printer type, with the applicable warehouse and user defined for the default printer. - If a printer type is defined in this field. 19. Select Yes in the Multi-user picking field. Note: If item images are shown, the Anywhere for rental app performance decreases. 7. Select Yes in the Charge costs for rental orders field. 8. Select Yes in the Register meters for transfer orders field. 9. Select Yes in the Charge costs for rental orders field. 10. Sub-task: Define the item groups for supplementary items. 11. In the Item groups for supplementary items section, click Add. 12. In the Item group field, enter or select a value. Click Mobility management. 2. Click Anywhere app parameters. 3. Click the Rental tab. 4. Expand the Mass return section. 5. For the Anywhere for rental app mass return process, the rental orders are cached. This is done for performance reasons. The cache must contain the rental orders that can be returned. Set the days before and days after the expected off-rent date, to define a period. All rental orders, with an expected off-rent date in the defined period, are included in the cache. In the Expected off-rent days before rental order field, enter a number. Note: The longer the defined time period, the longer it takes the batch job to process. Also, the more negative impact it has on the D365FO performance. When the rental order date filter batch job is running, you cannot do mass returns. 6. In the Expected off-rent days after rental order field, enter a number. 7. For the Anywhere for rental app mass return process, the rental transfer orders are cached. This is done for performance reasons. The cache must contain the rental transfer orders that can be returned. Set the days before and the days after the ship date, to define a period. All rental transfer orders, with a ship date in the defined period, are included in the cache. In the Shipped posting days before transfer order field, enter a number. Note: The longer the defined time period, the longer it takes the batch job to process. Also, the more negative impact it has on the D365FO performance. When the rental transfer order date filter batch job is running, you cannot do mass returns. 8. In the Shipped posting days after transfer order field, enter a number. 9. Select Yes in the Search for open return journal field. 10. In the Round return date field, select an option. 11. Sub-task: Define supplementary item groups. 12. In the Supplementary item group section, click Add. 13. In the Item group field, enter or select a value. End End
